Opening the compositor…

Works fully in Chrome and Edge. In Firefox and Safari the tool runs, but pictures are copied into the document rather than linked to files on your drive, because those browsers do not offer that capability yet.

Your documents stay on your machine: projects live in your browser, linked files stay on your drive, and the Google Doc is read from Google each time. Nothing is uploaded here.
